DRS Infrared Technologies also manufactures a number of camera engines, ready for integration. A camera include a detector, system electronics, housing and can be provided with or without a lens. Cameras from DRS are fielded in a variety of commercial and military systems around the world and feature leading electronics, packaging and optics. The design of DRS cameras are perfect for integration into cameras whose applications support the homeland security, public safety, fire fighting and industrial markets.
The DRS E3500S split electronics configuration camera is designed to pack plenty of performance in a very compact and flexible interface design. Its low power requirement and high performance package includes the technology leading DRS 320x240, 25 micron pixel uncooled VOx microbolometer detector operating at a 60 Hz frame rate. The head assembly dimension of the 11 mm design package is 45mm x 42mm x 42mm (1.8 x 1.6 x 1.7 inches) and weighs 79 g along with split electronics PWA which is 36mm x 76mm (1.4 x 3.0 inches). The 25 mm design package is 45mm x 42mm x 60mm (1.8 x 1.6 x 2.4 inches) and weighs 101 g along with split electronics PWA which is 36mm x 76mm (1.4 x 3.0 inches). The 11mm f/1 lens has a field of view (FOV) of 40 º H x 30 º V, and the 25mm f/1 lens has a field of view (FOV) of 18 º H x 13.5 º V The E3500S employs user programmable DSP technology, providing unsurpassed integrator flexibility and customization.
The DRS E6000 is a new camera addition to the DRS Infrared camera family that brings unsurpassed thermal imaging performance using the technology leading DRS 25µm pixel pitch 640x480 VOx microbolometer detector. The DRS E6000 employs user programmable DSP technology, providing unsurpassed integrator flexibility and customization. The optics feature either a 22mm lens (40 deg. HFOV) , a 62mm lens (15 deg. HFOV) or a 100mm lens (9 deg. HFOV) for application flexibility. The compact E6000 engine features a rugged housing design, excellent sensitivity and low power requirements. It provides a choice of either a magnesium (380g) or aluminum (555g) housing with a dimension of 121mm x 76mm (4.8 x 2.99 inches) for the 22mm optic option a dimension of 132mm x 89mm (5.2 x 3.5 inches) that weighs 764g for the 62mm optic anda dimension of 185mm x 102mm (7.3 x 4.0 inches) that weighs 1000g for the 100mm optic .
